dear love was designed as a letter-writing game between two people after the apocalypse. The players write letters back and forth, following prompts to craft a story of connection after the ending of the world. This game can be adapted to other forms of communication, such as email or a shared google doc. However, even though it is designed as a 2 player game,  it can also be adapted to be a solo journaling game.

You and your fellow player will craft the post-apocalyptic world you are in, and then create unique characters. You'll decide the theme of the story you will be creating with your partner as prompts are very open for interpretation.

You will need a way to communicate between the two players and a two d8s.

Due to the setting being a post-apocalyptic players may play with themes of ruin, loss, death, and regret. Handle with care.

If you want to connect with each other, you can set up a throwaway email through EmailonDeck.com (Just remember to save your "Email Token" to recover the account later.)

However, if you're interested in a love triangle, you can email me at [REDACTED] (That's one of the weirdest sentences that I've written on a public forum.)

hey, im down if they down! dk how i feel about "love triangle" per se (i love drama but not that kind of drama) but im sure we can figure something out, cause like we don't HAVE to date we can be siblings or whatever
edit. i mean im ok with actual love triangle (in "its my husbands boyfriend" kind of way), just not love corner people call a triangle.

That's a great idea! Somehow, it didn't occur to me to make it familial or maybe even the bonds of friendship. The relationships could be strained by distance and the passage of time. If you two are willing to adapt the game for a third player, I'd be happy to join. I can barely get my friends to play conventional TTRPGs, although I'm slowly converting them with simple games like Honey Heist.
